The Pain Game....
As you have heard, Mark has been slapping the shat outta his face; mainly on the right side. I tried getting him stronger meds yesterday to no avail. Apparently, you have to be Britney Spears or the late Heath Ledger ( God Rest his Soul - I truly loved his work! ) to get the good stuff. In any case, my pestering of the doctors got me an appt for Mark today - I am meeting him in an hour to HOPEFULLY alleviate his pain. Already this am at school, he has had to be dosed with tylenol and placed in a quiet/calm room. ** I get very emotional when he is in pain :(

ahh - poor Mark!!!!
I only have my teeth to compare it to, but Tylenol didn't do a lot for me. Sometimes it would work a smidge, but never ever for long.
The further downside was that nothing else worked much either. Percosets wouldn't even take the edge off.
I hope they can get him something else. Or dope him up with Motrin or something! Come to think of it, very high doses of Motrin were the best relief I got. I was talking to a Dr. who said that tooth pain is some of the worst the wrestle with alleviating. Interesting, huh?
Oh it was touch and go my friends..... the doctor started to say " we don't usually prescribe pain meds without knowing the source of the pain..." but, Mark was slapping himself IN THE OFFICE and he had blood on his knee from slamming his chin on it.
1. Sinus Xray ordered ( I smiled and nodded. I jump through hoops very well my friends!! ). Sinuses were normal.
2. Doctor looks at me sympathecially and says " well, I've known you a long time and you know your son well so I am willing to give you something for one week"
Thus - Mark is now on Tylenol 3 until next Thursday. Whooooooflockinghoo!
Well -what happens then? Is he going to have the wisdom buds removed or something?
We haven't met with the surgeon yet for the pre-op - as you know, the world moves at a pace set for NT people and not for autistic people....thus, alas, I had to throw myself at the mercy of Mark's ped.
Oh dang - so sorry! Well, I hope they can get those puppies out STAT!!!! But I'm wondering how he'll do with recovery. POOR BABY!
Mark is NOTICABLY in a less aggitated mood sense the codeine was started. Giggling more tonight and all around silly!
Ok...how do you edit spelling errors and typos? 0_0
