We got a letter from our county social services saying we need to be at a meeting on the 12th of March to discuss:
1. Your child's continuing need for placement
2. Progress made towards goals outlined in the case plan
3. A date by which YOUR CHILD MAY BE RETURNED HOME
4. Or by which other placement plans may be made.
What the flock? This is a new one for us. We've never had to do this in the nearly 4.5 years he's been placed.
Naturally, I have a call into them.....waiting to hear back.
Hand me some nyquil....

Well, apparently they won't force him back home. Isn't Alyssa's family AWOL and she's still there? Maybe that's the key - run away!

Ok...sheesh....why do people make things more complicated than necessary????? Anyway, apparently this is a routine review but the letter was written in such a way that CONFUSED me into thinking something else was afoot ( Gwen read it and said " they have that poorly written!! " )....so ...Mark stays put. Sorry if I alarmed anyone!!!

Yes ..thank goodness!! I had a speech IEP with Jen this morning so I've been a bit preoccupied and I didn't get back here til much later....sorry!! Oh and....despite Mark having a cold, his surgery is still on SO FAR
