I love my friends mon - I truly do. I consider them "sisters" I never had ( unless they're my male friends. Oh wait... some of my male friends are STILL like sisters but...alas...that's another blog ).
Occasionally, I allow them ( yes I said ALLOW ) them to boss me. One in particular loves to see how far she can push me out of my practicality zone ( as if I CHOSE to be born this way!! Would you expect a farm child to be anything different?? Don't I just fit in perfectly with the image???? I know, I know...another day, another blog ).
My "pushing out of the practicality zone" friend bossed me Saturday night into "tanning" before my approaching vacation. Now.... I haven't been to a tanning salon for nearly 25 years. AND IN THOSE DAYS, you went for a week before you got a tannish color (you never burned).
I sit here typing before you with it snowing outside and a sun burnt tummy and chest ( and upper thighs ). I blame no one but myself but who knew 10 minutes in a tanning bed ( I nearly laughed when the chick told me it would only be 10 minutes ) could make me a mascot for Red Lobster.
I signed up for 3 of these self basting "experiences" ....I think I'll wait a day or 2 before I go back for round 2

I did boss you into tanning, but I recommended the Kiss. Whyohwhy did she tell you to do medium?
This just goes to show you - when you allow me to boss you - you cannot let someone else jump in and accept their (unqualified and wreckless) bossing in the middle of the event. She didn't have your best interests in her heart. You must only be bossed by someone who knows you well!
That's clear to me now but the ORIGINAL bossEE should have made it so I would ONLY obey her and not be swayed by the person operating the machine!!
No worries - I look like I do the first time my skin sees the sun every summer.
I'm sure there's no cancer worries......
Oh - and TELL THEM that it's too much and you want to move back down to the Kiss. sigh
I need to be there to thoroughly boss this out for you. Unacceptable for them to let you burn. UNACCEPTABLE
Down here, you get like 5 minutes the first couple of times. Even Drama-O mentioned that, I think. Like just doing 4 minutes or so. What were they thinking????

I cannot help that my great ideas might be painful (btw - are you just having a rip snort with the tunes or what?) Life with me is fun, but sometimes required 2 Motrin and some Aloe Vera. So what....

Mama you are right, my first time last week I did 4 minutes, today I went and did 5 minutes.
I will keep it at 5 for at least a few more visits.
MM whoever ran the tanning salon should have known better.

I did cover up my face at least!! I did use the lotion they told me too!!
Obviously, Minnesota tanning salons are inferior.
I told her to use the baby bed and she let them put her in the medium one.
Methinks someone thought they could make more money off of her or something - or it was a really tan person who wasn't thinking. grrrrr
The price wasn't that much different to be honest. She asked if I burned easily and I said no.
